Hyundai Motor India will announce prices for the all-new Bayon on October 26, with pre-bookings open at Rs 11,000 and the SUV positioned between the Venue and the Creta.

The Bayon leans on features. Reports list dual 12.3-inch displays, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, a generative AI voice assistant and Level 2 ADAS on top variants, with six airbags and more than 35 standard safety features.

The competitive set is crowded, with the Maruti Victoris and Honda Elevate named as rivals, and price will decide where the Bayon lands. Reports estimate Rs 9 to 15 lakh, which Hyundai has not confirmed.

The reports also differ on small points, such as the automatic’s name, and a CNG option is expected later but not confirmed.

Carlelo gives the engine’s output as 115 PS at 6,300 rpm and 144 Nm at 4,500 rpm, and says Hyundai has confirmed only this engine so far.

It comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox or an automatic. Autocar India calls the automatic a CVT, while Carlelo calls it an IVT, so the name differs between reports.

A factory-fitted CNG option is expected later, according to Autocar India. Hyundai has not confirmed it, according to Carlelo.

Carlelo gives the length as 4.24 metres, while Autocar India’s article gives no dimensions.

The SUV is built on Hyundai’s Global K Enhanced platform, according to both reports.

Features listed include a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, a powered driver’s seat, dual 12.3-inch displays, a generative AI voice assistant, Bose audio, a wireless phone charger and over-the-air updates.

Carlelo adds 17-inch alloy wheels, an 8-speaker Bose system and a 411-litre boot.

Hyundai says there are more than 35 standard safety features, including six airbags and electronic stability control, according to Autocar India.

Top variants get Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera and blind-spot detection, according to the same report.
