Alliance Air launched a direct flight service between Bhopal and Patna on Monday, August 10, 2026, operating three days a week — Mondays, Wednesdays and Sundays — on a 70-seater aircraft.
The introductory one-way fare has been set at Rs 4,622 from Patna to Bhopal and Rs 4,483 in the other direction, pricing aimed at capturing early demand on a route that previously required passengers to connect through a larger hub.
For businesses and traders operating between Madhya Pradesh and Bihar, the new direct link removes a connectivity gap that has historically added time and cost to travel between the two state capitals, despite a sizeable Bihar-origin population resident in Madhya Pradesh.
The route is one of four Alliance Air launched this week — alongside Bhopal-Rewa, Rewa-Kolkata and Jabalpur-Kolkata — as part of a coordinated push to expand regional connectivity across central and eastern India, with Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav flagging off the inaugural flights.
As the regional arm of Air India, Alliance Air’s role is specifically to operate thinner routes using ATR turboprop aircraft that larger jets can’t justify economically, making it a bellwether for which secondary-city corridors are gaining enough demand to support scheduled air service.
