India are weighing the fitness of Ravindra Jadeja before finalising the Test squad for next month’s tour of Sri Lanka.
The all-rounder is recovering from a tennis elbow injury picked up during IPL 2026, with no official confirmation yet on his fitness timeline.
Jasprit Bumrah’s fitness is also a factor under review. Both players were unavailable for India’s one-off Test against Afghanistan.
Jadeja is nonetheless expected to be considered for a return, given the value of his all-round skills against Sri Lanka.
The two-Test series opens with the first Test at Galle on August 15, followed by the second Test in Colombo from August 23.
India go into the series ranked fifth in the World Test Championship standings.
